Who wants some dinuguan and puto?

It's been ages since the last time I had eaten a dinuguan. Dinuguan means blood stew and it always good with puto (steamed rice cake). Last Saturday, Dec 7th, the Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh (FAAP) had a funraising for the victim of the typhoon in the Philippines. They served delicious all Filipino food for brunch and dinner. Lots of people came over of course as that's the only way you get to eat pinoy foods and at the same time able to help raise money for our kababayan back home. I bought and take home this delicious dinuguan. I do not know how to make dinuguan but this is one of my favorite dish.

Jjajangmen

Jajangmyeon - is a noodle dish topped with a thick sauce made of chunjang (a salty black soybean paste), diced pork and vegetables, and sometimes also seafood.Jajang (alternately spelled jjajang), the name of the sauce which literally means "fried sauce."Myeon (also spelled myun) means "noodle".This dish has been known in South Korea as jjajangmyeon. I bought a pack of JJANGJANGMEN at Korean store near by our place. I am curious how this noodles taste like as I've always seen it a lot of Korean TV drama shows. The taste was okay but the sauce is too strong for me.

How to Enjoy 'BI-BIM-BAB'

1. Put the steamed rice into the Bibimbab bowl
2. Add sesame oil and hot pepper paste to the rice and vegetables. Te hot pepper paste is spicy and can be added as desired.
3. Mix the ingredients well using a spoon or chopsticks.
4. Best served with side dishes and soup.

Asiana Airlines formerly Seoul Airlines) is one of South Korea's two major airlines, along with Korean Air. It's a big plane and it says in their slogan the first and the best ehem. Anyway, on our way trip to Seoul they serve two entree menu - one western food and Korean food. So I ordered this Bi-bim bab.

Bibimbab is a famous Korean Cuisine which contains steamed rice and other assorted vegetables. Depending on which ingredients are used, there can be various types of Bibimbab such as Octopus Bibimbab and Wild Greens Bibimbab. A sweet and spicy pepper paste along with sesame seed oil adds a mild tangy flavor. It is a dish that people from all over the world can enjoy. Without a doubt, it is a healthy food choice for all.
